Overview

Do you need to send your Direct Credit or SEPA files in a more secure πŸ” manner? We've got you covered with our SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) option.

Enabling SFTP

  1. Contact support@shireburn.com and ask for SFTP to be set up for your company.

  2. After our support staff have switched on the feature for you:

    1. Go to Payroll & Leave > Settings.

    2. In the left side menu, click on Payroll, scroll down and click on Direct Credit FTP Settings.

    3. Click Edit and fill in all the fields as needed, and select SFTP in the Transfer Type dropdown.

    4. Click Save.

Testing the SFTP Connection

You can check if your SFTP connection is working by clicking the 'Test the Connection' button at the top of the Direct Credit FTP Settings page.

On clicking Test Connection, you'll be asked 'Are you sure you want to test the connection?' in a confirmation pop-up. Click Yes. Indigo will notify you if the test is successful.

Once SFTP has been enabled, the Direct Credit files generated in Indigo Payroll will display a new download icon. Click on it to send the file to the bank by SFTP.

Enabling PGP Encryption

If SFTP is not quite enough security for your needs, you can also make sure the file sent by SFTP is encrypted. To do this, simply tick the 'Enable PGP Encryption' checkbox and insert the PGP encryption key to be used in the 'PGP Public Key' text box.

🧠 Tip

If you need to whitelist Indigo's outbound public IP address, you can find it here.
