Set up Leave Approval emails

This feature will allow Leave Approval emails to be sent to people further up in the organisational chart as CC.

For instance, taking the above Organisation Chart as an example, if Philip has applied for leave, and Richie (Philip's Leave Approver) has approved it, Zachery (Richie's Leave Approver, and Philip's Secondary Approver) will be copied in the "Leave Approved" email sent to Philip.

This setting can be accessed from 'Settings' in the Payroll tab.

Next, go to 'Payroll,' and navigate to the 'Leave' section. The setting is as highlighted below ("Inform the parent of the leave authoriser as CC in the leave approval request email, according to the organisational chart."). This will automatically send the email with the parent authorisers in copy.

Note that the email will only be sent to the parent of the leave authoriser (up to only one level). It will not span any further up the organisation chart.

Remember to click "Edit" at the top before making any amendments.

Email addresses can also be manually set, by entering them in the text bar below it ("Email address(es) to CC if an employee's email address is approved. Seperate multiple emails with a semicolon (;). Leave blank to CC no one.")

  • Separate multiple email addresses with a semicolon (e.g. abc@email.com; xyz@email.com)

  • Leave the field blank if you do not want to set any manual email addresses

Note that you can use both the checkbox and manual email addresses at the same time. In this case, the system will send the emails to the parent of the leave authoriser, (as specified in the organisation chart) and will include the emails you have set manually as well.
