Hello Indigo users,
While you’re fine-tuning Q4 plans and sipping that extra cup of coffee ☕ , this week’s updates will warm up your Autumn routine.
Let’s spark things off 🔥 Geo Tagging is now available in Attendance, allowing you to link your clockings to a GPS position, project, and cost centre—all in one go.
To keep the 🌡️ heat rising, multi-tenant companies can now share the same domain and SSO login. Yes, it’s as good as it sounds. Meanwhile, Attendance filtering gets a speed boost: API requests are more targeted, and the Scheduled Staff by Hour report now reflects the new Shift Presets filter.
Performance Management is burning bright with a new templates' grid view, extended section limits, and enhanced notifications to keep you in the loop.
And to fuel the efficiency flame, Horus H1 now support BioPhoto as a biometric, while HR and Payroll bring clarity to job roles, expense limits, and leave calculations.

🌟 Feature Spotlight 🌟
🌐 Geo Tagging
- Our Geo Tagging feature is a self-service layer that helps you automate cost centre, project and location tagging of clock-ins and clock-outs based on one's GPS position. This is done by creating a zone on the map that will automatically tag any clockings falling in the zone with certain data, so you don't have to.
 - This saves you from manually assigning a cost centre, project, or location (or combination of these!) to clockings, making sure that after you set up your geo tagging zones, Indigo takes care of the rest. 😎

💻 Platform
- In Indigo, multiple organisations sometimes means different tenants, each with its own email domain and separate SSO login. Multi-tenant companies, we hear you shivering. What if we told you that now you can link multiple tenants to a single email domain? Your users can log in via SSO, and you no longer need to provide full access to Active Directory. Now that's a tasty treat. 😉
🕘 Attendance
- The 'one step at a time' rule works, until you have to deal with API requests. When you need to retrieve ⏲️ clockings for multiple employees via API without being able to apply filters, things can get repetitive and the system can slow to a crawl. Not fun. That's why we've enhanced the below commands for a clean and efficient data retrieval: - GetClockings API: you can use Date for a single day, or Date + DateTo to pull a full range of records in one go.
- GetModifiedClockings API: you can use DateFrom to fetch only clockings updated since your last sync. - Note: Newly created clockings have their ModifiedOn date set the same as the CreatedOn, so they'll also be fetched by API.

- You’ve asked for accurate resource headcount 👤 for specific shifts, and we heard you. The new Shift Presets tab in the Scheduled Staff by Hour report lets you choose which shift types to include in the totals. All shift types are selected by default, but you can untick the unnecessary ones to get a clear view of who’s actually on shift. Want to save time? Tick the Remember generated report settings checkbox to keep your preferences for future use, and yes, your shift filter will be applied when exporting too.

📇 Device Manager
- Hours H1 devices now supports 📷 BioPhoto (generic snapshot of a user's face) as biometric. When you scan your face for the first time, both the Face and the BioPhoto will be stored in two separate biometric records, just like the Speedface and Pro Face X devices. You're welcome!

- Entering a future termination date for an employee no longer prevents Public Holidays occurring before the termination date from showing in the Clocking Details report.
- When allocations are marked as 'Amended' after being bulk approved from 'Process pending daily attendance approvals' page, they are now properly excluded from the recalculation process when triggered.
👨🏻💼 HR
- We’ve added a new Further Details field to the Occupation support file, because sometimes a job title just isn’t enough. Whether you're clarifying responsibilities or telling similar roles apart, giving extra context will make your data cleaner, your reporting more thorough, and your import/export process smoother.
- While we're all for flexibility and customisation, we also want to support users who prefer setting clear boundaries within their organisation. - That’s why we’ve introduced a new toggle in the Expense settings: Block claims beyond limits. When switched on, it prevents ⛔ employees from submitting expense requests that exceed the limits set for the selected pay item. An error message is triggered and the request won’t even reach the approvers.

- We worked our wrench on the Head Count report so that it now groups by custom fields and shows correct results as intended.
- When exporting employee data to Excel, the Basic Pay amount is now in General format. This allows you to filter, sort, and use those values in Excel functions as expected.
- Task Management's been shaken up: - Saving task templates now keeps the destination folder according to the selected task type, instead of switching it to the Root Directory upon saving.
- We've also ensured that the 'back-one-folder' arrow is correctly responding in case you want to change the template folder destination.
- Last but not least, the Save and Create Another button in the Create Template form now lets you start fresh, without carrying over any files uploaded in the previously created template.

💸 Payroll & Leave
- In Indigo, no tooltip is left behind! After rolling out the shiny new Pro-rata with Public Holidays Pay-off ℹ️ tooltip, we couldn’t let the existing Pro-rata one feel left out. So, we gave it a well-deserved upgrade, now packed with all the necessary details about how calculations work, such as: - Total hours in leave (VAC25): 224
- Total Days Employed: 25 Days
- Pro Rata of Basic Leave Entitlement: 25/365 × 192 = 13.15
- Total Leave Taken: 0
- Total Leave Payoff: 29.15 Hours

- We've updated the company seeder to seed the new BOV v9 SEPA file instead of the old one.
🏆 Performance Management
- Performance Management Templates section just got a smarter look. 😎
It now displays templates in a grid view instead of tiles, giving you a more comprehensive overview of all available templates within your tenant. Here’s what’s new:- Each template in the grid shows: Template Name, Template Code, and Creator Name.
- The Template Name is hyperlinked. Just click on it to jump straight into that specific template.
- You can filter and search by any column in the grid, making it easier than ever to find what you need.

- To spice 🌶️ things up, we’ve extended the sections' limit from 10 to 15, to give your reviews more room to build complex and well-structured templates, without tricky workarounds. 🔀 Don’t worry though: existing templates stay as they are or can be expanded. Your call. Please note that all related functions and dropdowns have been updated to support the new limit too.
- And guess what? Performance Management now makes your notification bell 🔔 twinkle too! Notifications and email alerts are teaming up to keep you in the loop the moment something changes. Here’s what you’ll see when you click the bell: - Type of update (e.g. Review, Feedback, Objective)
- Status (e.g. Assigned, In Progress, Completed)
- Direct link to the relevant section
