Hello Indigo users,

The festive season may be over, but we are still in the mood to celebrate with our first 2026 release, which is here to help make your New Year’s work resolutions come true. 🪄

We’re kicking off the year with two 🌟 feature spotlights:

  • The Job Evaluation Tool, now giving you powerful new ways to reuse evaluation criteria across your tenant’s companies and export occupation scores in exactly the formats you need.

  • A shiny new Pay Item type called Perks to record company-provided extra benefits.

Meanwhile, Attendance users get to enjoy smarter handling of allocations, along with greater accuracy, reliability, and consistency under the hood. In HR you’ll benefit from smoother task management and clearer, more reliable JET workflows, especially around AI-assisted evaluations. Payroll & Leave also gains better reporting, layout refinements, and stronger validation to keep calculations and payments on track.

🌟 Feature Spotlight 🌟

🌩️ Smart Exporting Options in the Job Evaluation Tool (JET).

JET now offers more powerful export options in this 2-in-1 spotlight, making it easier to share, review and manage evaluation data across your organisation.

  • After defining your own evaluation criteria sets, you can now export them in a clear, structured format. This helps HR teams, managers and auditors understand exactly how roles are assessed while supporting consistent reuse of your evaluation framework across companies.

  • In addition, occupation scores can now be exported directly from the tool. With just a few clicks, you can generate a single file containing the latest scores for all occupations in your company. Value analysis and discussions have never been easier and more reliable.

Enjoy effortless data exports with Indigo's JET. ✈️

✨ Perks Join the Payroll Family

Say hello to Perks, our shiny new Pay Item type! Perks let you record company-provided benefits, in addition to Fringe Benefits, like gym memberships, parking or discounts as part of an employee’s total compensation without affecting payslips, payroll or taxes.

Why is this important? The true cost of employment isn’t just salary and taxes. Extra benefits carry a cost too, and now you can track them for smarter budgeting and analysis.

Start using Perks to see the bigger picture behind employee costs. 💸

🕘 Attendance

🛠️ Fixes and Improvements

  • The Attendance Reconciliation Report is correctly including all overtime entries when more than one is present. This gives you a more accurate overview of attendance history and supports smoother reconciliation.

  • For multi-company tenants, the Scheduler cost centre filter has been tuned to show only those from the selected company. This ensures you can assign shifts with confidence and avoid misassigning people to the wrong cost centre.

  • Attendance Settings now apply the correct time zone automatically when you set up a new Attendance company. This prevents manual corrections and keeps clocking and reporting times consistent from day one.

  • The Assign leave as excess time setting is back on track, so allocations now follow the option as intended.

  • The Clocking Summary Report has been optimised to run more reliably with larger datasets.

👨🏻‍💼 HR

🛠️ Fixes and Improvements

  • This release, we’ve rolled out a solid set of improvements across several HR areas, with a focus on Task Management and the Job Evaluation Tool.

  • In Task Management:

    • Indigo now remembers and displays the companies you previously selected in the Company in Use list.

    • Due dates set to On target date are now retained correctly when copying and saving task templates.

    • The My Tasks widget now behaves consistently, redirecting you to the full task list when selecting Overdue or Still in Time, even when no tasks are returned.

    • Select Assignees and Preview Assignees now display occupation descriptions alongside employees as intended.

  • Meanwhile, in JET:

    • Occupation details are now presented more clearly, with a cleaner layout that improves readability and precision.

    • Switching companies now clears evaluation profile data correctly, ensuring each evaluation starts in the right context.

    • Resetting an occupation’s evaluation score now reliably returns the value to zero and saves it without requiring manual adjustment.

    • Reset scores now display consistently across all categories, providing a more reliable view during reviews.

    • Editing AI-generated content is now smoother and no longer triggers errors.

    • The AI-generated content acknowledgement checkbox now appears only when relevant and is removed if the generated content is deleted before saving.

    • AI support is now triggered correctly when evaluating occupations, ensuring smart suggestions are available when reviewing roles.

📱 Mobile App

When reviewing a Leave Request, you’ll now see the Company Name displayed right below the requestor’s name. This means instant clarity in the approval process, without the hassle of extra checks or memory tricks. You’ll also find this improvement across other key screens:

  • Profile details

  • Clocking screen

  • Add Manual Clocking screen

💸 Payroll & Leave

  • Let us introduce you to the new Pay Item Cost Report. This report brings clarity to your finance processes by splitting payroll data into debit and credit columns and allowing you to display each pay item’s Alternate Code for direct reference to your ledger setup. It also gives you a clear view of what specific pay items cost across your workforce, making it easier to analyse trends and manage payroll spend proactively.

  • The Position History scheduled command has been extended to handle more scenarios automatically, reducing manual updates and keeping employee position records more up to date for payroll and reporting.

  • The FS4 layout has been updated to align with the latest statutory requirements and to present information more clearly.

🛠️ Fixes and Improvements

  • Employee search in payroll calculations now consistently selects the correct person. This removes extra clicks and helps you run calculations on the right records on the first try, every time.

  • We’ve improved how multiple direct credit files are generated for the same bank so each file keeps a unique ID. This supports smoother submissions to banks and avoids confusion when reconciling payments.

  • Payroll calculations now handle scenarios with duplicate pay entries in position history more robustly.

  • The Leave Balances widget in the portal now shows earned leave correctly.

🏆 Performance Management

  • We’ve enhanced the reviews grid so you can hide completed and cancelled reviews to focus on what still needs attention.

  • Performance reviews now support numeric and star ratings that can start from zero where required, giving your HR the flexibility to choose the rating method that best fits their needs.

🛠️ Fixes and Improvements

  • Feedback screens now keep words neatly together instead of splitting them awkwardly across lines.

  • We’ve refined hover states in the feedback data grid so highlights line up precisely with the content.

  • Performance reviews now continue to show the selected answer after checking the question spotlight, helping reviewers and employees stay oriented when focusing on specific questions.

  • The templates grid has been aligned so columns and content line up cleanly.

  • Managers can now view all relevant published review sections even when employees do not report to them directly, supporting broader review responsibilities while keeping access appropriately controlled.

  • Star ratings now display the correct number of stars while you edit questions of this type.

  • Better tooltips are available in the Settings section of Performance Management, helping administrators understand each option quickly and configure reviews with confidence.
