Introduction

As we've introduced in this article, you can export:

  • Existing data from grids

  • An empty template to fill in and use to import new data

In this article we'll guide you step by step to cover both scenarios. ⬇️

Exporting Data from Grids

To export existing data:

  1. Navigate to the relevant grid and filter its content according to your needs.

  2. Click on the Export button at the top left of the grid.

  3. Choose an option from Export Options.

  4. Select Export to download the data in Excel format.

  • You can now analyse and use the data as you prefer.

  • You can also modify what's needed, save and import the file back to Indigo Business to perform bulk modifications.

Exporting an Empty Template

To export an empty template file for future imports:

  1. Click Import on the grid or in the Drafts screen.

    • If you selected Import from Drafts > Others, choose the import type from the Select import type dropdown before moving to step 2.

  2. Pick a format (csv or xlsx) from the Download Template dropdown.

  3. Open the file from the Downloads folder on your device.

  4. The spreadsheet will display named but empty columns to fill in.

💪 Now you are ready to fill it in and import data, either from the relevant grid or from the Drafts screen.
