Hello Indigo Business users,
Welcome to our very first Indigo Business release notes! 🎉
We’re kicking things off with a strong set of Accounting updates, including a brand new dashboard landing page, a dedicated Drafts module, an Update Rates (ECB) option in the Currency form, as well as refinements to the Nominal Accounts grid and Sales and Purchases posting.
This first release focuses on practical improvements designed to make your day‑to‑day financial work clearer, smoother, and more efficient.
This is just the beginning, and we look forward to sharing many more updates with you in the releases ahead.

⚠️ Note! If you're in software, bug-blasting is part of the job! 👾 We’ve neatly tucked away all info related to fixes (if any) at the bottom of each module's coloured box—click > 🛠️ Fixes and Improvements to check out the details.
🧮 Accounting
The Indigo Business landing page is now a fully functional Dashboard, giving you instant visibility of key figures such as sales, purchases, receivables, payables, and bank balances, along with insights like top clients and suppliers. With everything clearly presented in one place, you can quickly assess your business performance and take action without navigating between screens.
A new Update Rates button has been added to the Currencies screen. This allows you to retrieve the latest exchange rates published by the European Central Bank (ECB) for the current day. Existing daily rates are replaced with the ECB rate, otherwise a new one will be created. More details here.
The Nominal Accounts grid now includes four new columns:
PY1 Local Balance
PY2 Local Balance
PY1 Foreign Balance
PY2 Foreign Balance
These let you view previous year balances directly within the accounts list, making it easy to compare the current balance with the last two financial years at a glance, without the need to run additional reports.
We have introduced a new Drafts feature to give you more flexibility and confidence when working with your data. Drafts are generated when:
Creating transactions, where your work is saved automatically and marked with an orange label.
Importing records in bulk (such as nominal accounts, clients or suppliers, and VAT codes), where records are first saved as drafts for review.
This allows you to check and confirm your data before it appears in your lists, helping you catch mistakes early and ensure everything is accurate before finalising.
You can now sign in to Indigo Business using Single Sign-On (SSO) with your Microsoft account. This new feature makes accessing your account quicker, easier, and more seamless, so you can get started without the need to remember additional login details.

We’ve corrected the Ext Ref validation in Sales and Purchases posting. The system now correctly applies all relevant unique reference settings when checking whether an Ext Ref has already been used, and will only trigger an error when a true duplicate is detected.
