Overview
Some companies use multiple email ✉️ domains to organise their teams, departments or subsidiaries. For example, employees might use @company.com while others use @mt.company.com. These additional domains are called subdomains.
Subdomains are normally configured during the Indigo SSO setup process, whether you're setting up your primary identity provider (IdP) or adding another one.
However, if you already have an IdP configured and need to add subdomains to it, read on and follow the steps below. 📖🤓
Adding Subdomains to Existing IdP Setups
Go to Indigo > Administration > Identity Providers (SSO).
Find the required IdP card in the Linked Domains section of the screen.
Click the three-dot (More Options) button and select Subdomains.
In the screen that opens, enter each required subdomain in the field provided.
Make sure to press enter after entering each subdomain to add it to the list.
Click Submit to save your changes.
Verify Your Changes
After submitting your changes, check the IdP card in the Linked Domains section of the Identity Providers screen. Each added subdomain should show as a separate bubble.
As a result, users with email addresses belonging to these subdomains can now use SSO to sign in to Indigo through your configured IdP.
⚠️ Before you go..! The procedure above assumes that you have completed the required, supporting setup in your Microsoft Entra ID environment. For more information on this, check out this guide from Microsoft:
