Improve your Workflow by making use of Simple Keyboard Shortcuts

In pages which contain multiple containers such as grids or forms:

A red border indicates which container is active, meaning that all keyboard shortcuts will work on the selected container. A screen with only one container will not show this border and will automatically consume all keyboard shortcuts.

During View Mode

  • Home - Navigate to the top of the list

  • End - Navigate to the bottom of the list

  • Page Up - Navigate to the previous page

  • Page Down - Navigate to the next page

  • Up Arrow - Navigate to the previous record

  • Down Arrow - Navigate to the next record

  • ALT + R - Refresh the current container

  • ALT + T - Toggles filter bar on/off

  • ALT + L - Clear filters

  • Spacebar - Marks current record as selected (Only applicable in grids with multiple selections active)

  • Insert - Creates a new record

  • CTRL + Insert - Create from template

  • Enter - Amend the current record

  • Delete - Deletes the current record

  • CTRL + C - Copies the current item

  • CTRL + B - Copies & Pastes the current item

The following are only applicable if the current container is a grid:

  • F1 - Toggle Help Mode on/off

  • ALT + G + R - Auto resize the grid columns to fit their maximum content size 

  • ALT + G + T - Auto stretches the grid columns to fit in the total grid width

  • ALT + G + C - Configure the current grid

  • ALT + G + S - Saves the current grid configuration. Includes column width & order

  • ALT + G + L - Discard all changes which have not been saved and re-loads the last saved state

  • ALT + G + Z - Deletes the last saved state and reloads the default one

  • ALT + G + O - Cycles to the next order on the grid

  • ALT + G + F - Sets the focus on the filter bar

  • ALT + F - Toggles the filter row on/off

  • ALT + S - Sets the focus on the search box

The following are only applicable if the current container is the filter bar:

  • Enter - Executes the typed filter

  • CTRL + S - Saves the current filter

  • ALT + C - Clears the entered filter

The following are only applicable if the current container is the search box:

  • Enter - Find next

  • CTRL + Enter - Find previous

  • ALT + V - Cycles to the next view if the current screen supports an alternative view

During Edit Mode

  • Enter - Saves the current record

  • CTRL + T - Saves as template

  • Esc - Cancels all pending changes

  • ALT + Down Arrow - Shows the calendar if the current control is the date time picker

  • ALT + Down Arrow - Shows the lookup screen if the current control is the lookup component

  • Spacebar - Checks/Unchecks the checkbox if the current control is a checkbox

  • ALT + T - Selects the tag component
