Hello Indigo users,

We're excited to announce two new features debuting in the star-studded ๐ŸŒŸ Indigo lineup: Custom Fields and Single Sign-On (SSO)!

With Custom Fields, you can create new sections in the Employee Details screen to record data not covered by Indigo's preset sections. Meanwhile, SSO transforms tedious sign-in processes into an efficient and simplified login experience (once your IT admins have had a moment to set it up ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Several other enhancements are also included, of course: Indigo can now incorporate anniversary dates and years of service into the Employees Anniversaries email within HR; has a new FS4 layout supporting recent government updates in Payroll & Leave and has introduced weighted multiple-choice answers to Performance Management.

More on the above... down below โฌ‡๏ธ

Feature Spotlight

  • Have you ever wanted to add information ๐Ÿ“‹ to your employees' profiles, but couldn't because there weren't any corresponding fields? With the new Custom Fields functionality, you can do just that. Easily create a whole new section within the Employee Details screen to record data that isn't already covered by Indigo's preset sections. Find out how here.

Feature Spotlight

  • You may have been wondering about the mysterious ๐Ÿ” Log in with SSO button that's been gracing our log in for a while. Well, to put it simply, it's your portal to an efficient and simplified login process, courtesy of cunning tech known as Single Sign-On, which Indigo has launched today!

That's right, Indigo's SSO solution to password fatigue is here!

Platform

  • We continued with our roll out of Notification Centre enhancements and improvements:

    • Notifications for watching an employee are now properly formatted on both the Attendance and HR sides.

    • We've also improved the display by removing the fixed height of the notification field.

Attendance Enhancements

  • A new filter has been added to the Breaks report. It will allow the user to distinguish records between Normal breaks and Dynamic breaks. It also allows the totals at the bottom to always match with the data being displayed in the report.

  • We have added a new feature to the Attendance Reconciliation Report. Users can now opt to include specific overtime records in the generated Excel sheet. The overtime amounts will appear in a separate column at the end of the sheet.

    • Note: this feature is dependent on the weekโ€™s schedule being calculated and the excess time being marked as overtime in the Attendance Exceptions section.

Scheduler

  • We have further improved the calculations for maternity leave schedules. Now, the calculations work for any type of shift, including vacation, sick leave, and maternity leave, such as VAC24, SFP, and Maternity Paid.

Attendance Fixes and Improvements

  • Terminated employees no longer show up in the Clocking Details Report when Include Public Holidays is ticked, unless they actually had punches on public holidays within the selected date range.

  • In Projects, the project type cannot be set to Required if there are no projects. If attempted, an error message will be displayed at the bottom.

Device Manager

  • We have updated the icons in the Functions dropdown menu to a newer set of visuals that more clearly represent each button's function.

  • To avoid any premature window-hopping, the Next button in the My Users > Import Employees window will start off inactive and only activate when at least 1 user is selected.

  • Our digital reports may save you paper ๐Ÿ’š , but we still don't want them to contain any blank pages! After this release, the Device Manager Audit report will be generated without any empty pages.

Scheduler

  • We have improved the budgeting widget to exclude shifts of type Leave from calculations. The result should now match the budgeting columns.

  • We have added a Done button in the bottom right portion of the Scheduler View Settings window, in order to ensure that any changes that are made are in fact saved. rather than just words in the wind.

  • When importing shifts via Excel, the process will now allow shifts to be imported even if they overlap with other shifts on the same day and time.

HR Enhancements

  • You can now set Indigo to include anniversary dates and years of service in the Employees Anniversaries email, thanks to the new option 'Include employment date' in the Employee Anniversary Email Notification settings.

HR Fixes and Improvements

Task Management

  • Email notifications sent prior to a task's due date are working as expected.

  • The Offboarding Task icon in the Employees grid opens the correct offboarding template screen.

Payroll & Leave Enhancements

  • Following the latest FS4 layout updates from the government, we've updated our version to ensure it meets government standards to a degree that it would make your ISO compliance officer proud! ๐Ÿ†

Payroll & Leave Fixes and Improvements

  • The field <ChrgBr> has been removed from the BOV SEPA file because it was just freeloading and not helping with the file processing at all. We've given it the boot ๐Ÿ‘ข to keep things streamlined and efficient!

  • Earned Leave has been fine-tuned to ensure it never exceeds the user's leave entitlement. To boost the leave balance, adjust the earned leave per month value on the leave entitlement profile hours screen.

  • Message notifications for Earned Leave are now more efficient and accurate. They will precisely inform you if applying for leave will bring your leave balance into the red zone.

  • The pro rata calculation for leave entitlement upon termination was based on 365 days instead of 366 days for this leap year. It has been adjusted to account for the extra day.

Performance Management Enhancements

  • Hear ye, managers and HR admins! Weโ€™ve added a scoring system ๐Ÿ“Š to multiple-choice questions in your performance appraisals. This will enhance analytics based on the scores of employee or manager-selected answers. Hereโ€™s the lowdown:

    • If the Custom Score toggle is off, you can set a Scoring Order for the question as Ascending or Descending. This determines the score weighting of each answer based on its position in the list.

    • If the Custom Score toggle is on, the order of answers wonโ€™t affect their scores. Instead, youโ€™ll see a numeric field next to each answer option where you can specify its weighting.

Performance Management Fixes and Improvements

  • Re-opening a review via the Re-open Review button works as expected.

  • A review's new status is shown immediately after editing its status.

  • When viewing a question spotlight pop-up, the Close option shows as intended.

  • Filters are working as expected in My Team's grid.

  • Creating multiple choice questions in the Question Bank is functioning correctly.

  • Confidential answers are displaying when clicking confirm on the 'Show your Confidential Answers' message.
