Hello Indigo users,

With this update, you can now edit your Objectives in Performance Management when certain conditions are met, allowing you to refine your goals' presentation before that first check-in—because let’s face it, not every goal or key result will fall 🍂 perfectly into place on the first try.

Our SSO feature has also been upgraded, giving your IT admins more flexibility to better customise the service in perfect harmony with your company’s policy needs—particularly when it comes to managing tenant groups and usernames.

Attendance has been busy this season baking 🍞 a fresh customization option for your Clocking Details report and adding two new columns for Clocking Data, serving up more insight into your employees' clocking activity. And in the Device Manager, a new confirmation prompt ensures you don’t accidentally pause the show by deactivating users prematurely—giving you peace of mind before taking action.

You know where to go for the full update... ⬇️

Platform

  • A new Group Name field has been added to the first step of SSO setup on the Indigo platform. In a nutshell 🥜 when configuring your identity provider (IdP), you can now specify a custom group name, allowing you to retrieve your users' data from a security group in your Microsoft Entra ID tenant that has a name of your choosing.

📋 Note: Previously, the security group had to be named 'Indigo Suite,' but now you have the flexibility to use any name you prefer.

  • A new setting impacting the User Provisioning process has been added to SSO from the Indigo setup side. After configuring your identity provider, you can choose whether Indigo should use your employees' User Principal Name or Email address via the Preferred Username setting. This option is available in the card’s Kebab menu > Settings screen.

Attendance Enhancements

  • A new option has been added to the the Clocking Details report settings, letting you pick whether you want the report to Show Device Names or not. These will be displayed in a new, dedicated column when the setting is checked.

  • Two new columns have been added to Clocking Data: Device Name In and Device Name Out. Either must be activated from the screen's settings (⚙️). If the clocking is not connected to a named device the field will remain blank.

Device Manager

  • In today’s fast-paced world, we understand the importance of speed 🏃 . However, we also want to ensure you don’t accidentally delete weeks or months of work. That’s why we’ve added a warning to the Deactivate Users process. When you press the Deactivate button, you’ll see a prompt asking you to confirm your action. Simply press Deactivate to proceed or Cancel to go back.

  • The permissions previously assigned to TA_Presence_Clockings for Presence have now been transferred to Ta_PunchesAttendance. Consequently, the Who’s In report will now display the Clock In Date/Time column based on the latter permission's status.

Attendance Fixes and Improvements

  • The Clocking Detail Report is reacting as intended when Subcontracted employees only is selected before generating the report.

    • If no subcontracted employees records exist for the selected date range, 'The report has no records to print' message is shown when generating the report.

    • If there are subcontracted employees with recorded clockings on that particular date range, only those records will be displayed in the report.

  • The scroll options will always be fully visible when scrolling the page down, whatever screen size you are using.

  • When exporting Attendance records in Excel, the value in the Shift column is matching with the one in the Daily Attendance grid as expected. Furthermore, when exporting Shift Presets, the Excel sheet correctly starts from the 'A' column and displays the data properly as soon as the sheet loads.

  • When someone who does not have the TA_PunchesAttendance permission assigned generates the Who's In report in Excel, 01/01/0001 00:00:00 shows as a value for all the records in the ClockingDateTime column.

  • The row icons in the Clocking Data screen are now brighter than ever! 🌈

Device Manager

  • All the Biometric types (Card, Password, Face, Palm, Fingerprint) are displaying in the Biometrics Filter dropdown as intended.

  • The Location value for a Work Zone is properly showing in the Linked Devices grid and in the Device Access Control Audit report.

HR Enhancements

Document Manager

  • Need key details about your folders and files in Document Manager? Pick what you need from the item grid in any of the sections, then hit Details in the top-right corner. Easy access, no digging required! 🕳️

  • We’ve also axed ✂️ the Clear selection button that used to pop up when you selected items, since you can still clear your selection by clicking the header checkbox—saving precious screen real estate.

HR Fixes and Improvements

Document Manager

  • To keep the peace ☮️ among our file extensions, any files uploaded to the manager with an all-caps extension will now have their extension automatically converted to lowercase.

  • Uploaded files, whether they are shared with the Line Manager or not, always result as shared with the employee who uploaded it in the first place. The Employee Status icon under the Share Status column will be highlighted in green.

Skills & Training

  • When selecting the Academic Level, Grade, Section, or Unit columns to be visible in the All Employees grid, they show as intended.

Task Management

  • The Task Name field is now more loving and tolerant, ❤️ accepting special characters such as [ / \ : \ * ? " < > | ] when creating a new template in the Templates section.

  • Employees need to upload a file into a task that requires it before being able to complete it. This is true even if the task already has a pre-uploaded file.

  • When a task is completed in the All Employees screen without uploading a file which is required, an error is shown.

  • If a file is uploaded in the task, a folder is automatically generated with the same name in Document Manager.

Payroll & Leave Enhancements

  • Restricted days can be extended to a date range rather than a single date. The Date From and Date To fields are available to select a time frame and prevent people from recording Leave Requests. A warning message will pop up informing them that they are trying to submit leave for a restricted period.

  • The CITI Bank London SEPA file's format has been updated to the current standard.

Payroll & Leave Fixes and Improvements

  • When the Payslip Leave Balance Type is saved as 'Period' in the Payslip settings, the Leave Balance in the payslip updates as expected after paying off leave.

Performance Management Enhancements

  • When Objectives first launched, you got all the OKR 🏹 goodness you could ever need with a single caveat: there was no way to edit or delete objectives once created. Well, that's a thing of the past, as we have included the ability to edit objectives and swapped the archive button with a permanent delete feature!

    • To start editing an objective, click it's code from the grid. The following rules apply for the sake of fairness and consistency:

      • Once objectives are started or closed, they can't be deleted, and you can’t add or remove key results.

      • Key results can only be edited if there are no existing check ins.

      • Editing personal objectives requires the HR_PM_Manage_Personal_Objectives/Execute permission, even for users with the HR Administrator role.

  • You can now choose which columns to display in the Review Scores grid, tailoring your 9 Box Grid analytics to your needs! Just use the column selector, available through the ⚙️ icon in the top-right corner of the Review Scores screen.

Performance Management Fixes and Improvements

  • Employees filling out an appraisal can now save any notes they take through Review Settings as they go.

  • Start answering your ⭐ star review questions with style and ease by hovering over the stars and clicking your desired rating.

  • Maths ➕ continues to be tough, but percentage progress for objectives and key results is now being calculated correctly!

  • On a similar note, when '%' was used as a suffix for numeric key results, the progress calculation got all mixed up during check-ins. Now an error will appear if a user tries to create a numeric key result with '%' in the suffix, prompting them to use the proper type for such a key result—Percentage.
