Whether an employee pays SSC or not is determined by the <a href="https://indigohelp.shireburn.com/shireburn-indigo-payroll/support-files/set-up-new-employment-types">Employment type</a> assigned in the Employees files.

To create an employee who does not pay SSC contributions, create an employee as shown <a href="https://indigohelp.shireburn.com/shireburn-indigo-payroll/setting-up-employees/employee-onboarding">here</a>

Choose an Employment type that has an SSC Type of No Social Security.

1. To create an employee who does not pay SSC contributions, create an employee as shown <a href="https://indigohelp.shireburn.com/shireburn-indigo-payroll/setting-up-employees/employee-onboarding">here</a> 
2. Choose an Employment type that has an SSC Type of No Social Security.
3. Click Save.

This is useful for Seniority employees who have started getting their pensions.
