Exceptions tags indicate the kind of attendance exceptions found in your clocking data. Learn what each of them mean in this article

Absence tags

An employee clocked out before the out-time range and tolerance of their assigned shift.​

An employee clocked out for an extended amount of time before clocking back in. Commonly found when an employee took a longer break than permitted by their shift. This is also found in flexi attendance shifts when the employee works less than the required amount of hours.​

An employee clocked in after the in-time range and tolerance of the assigned shift.


Excess time tag

An employee clocked out after the out-time range and tolerance of their assigned shift.


Missing Clockings or Unscheduled tags

An employee failed to clock in or clock out during a shift. Commonly found when an employee forgets to clock in or out or both, for example.

An employee clocked in on a day where no shift was assigned. Clocking data tagged as Unscheduled will count as excess time.


Status tags

Any allocations made to an attendance exception will be marked with this Amended tag. Recalculating allocations will skip all resolved tags and won't automatically amend them.

An attendance exceptions was automatically resolved by rewards and penalties assigned to a shift preset. Any allocations that must be approved by an authoriser are tagged as 'Requires Approval'.

A tag applied to any attendance exceptions which has been marked as resolved. Marking an attendance exception as resolved nullifies any absence or excess time in the shift. Recalculating allocations will skip all resolved tags and won't automatically amend them.
