Introduction

The companies under your tenant may operate in different countries, or interact with international customers and suppliers–along with foreign banks. This means that configuring all the currencies used in your transactions is essential for accurate 👌 bookkeeping and accounting.

You can consult and create your list of currencies from the Currencies grid in Settings & Pref. > Financial Settings > Currencies.

Currencies can then be assigned to the relevant nominal accounts, banks, and business accounts. They can also be set up as your company's Base Currency.

📋 Note: The Base Currency can be set up during company creation and should never be edited or deleted.

The Currencies Grid

Each company you create in Indigo Business can have its own set of currencies displayed in a filterable grid. The company Base Currency is tagged in blue under the Code column.
