Introduction

Legend has it that somewhere in the dark chambers of Brussels, a fearsome decree is being forged … the EU Pay Transparency Directive! 😨 Word on the street is it will scrutinise every salary, compare every role, and leave no spreadsheet unturned. HR professionals everywhere are clutching their coffee mugs a little tighter. What to do, oh what to do?

It’s ... actually not that bad, 😅 especially if you're a fan of fair pay, transparency, and smart people practices. Here's all you need to know for now:

  • The directive has actually been around since 7th June, 2023, and EU Member States have until 7th June 2026 to transpose it into national law.

  • In short, it pressures organisations to ensure that their employees doing similar work are paid fairly, with clear structures and accessible reporting, while shining a light on pay gaps, standardising roles, and making sure that everyone gets a fair slice of the cake. 🍰

  • Employers will need to gear up now so they’re not caught off guard.

Group similar-value occupations into categories to ensure consistent pay ranges and support reporting under EU rules.

Acquiring JET

JET is immediately available to all HR Advantage clients. Once an HR Advantage subscription is activated or renewed, access is automatically granted to the Payroll Administrator, who can then assign the permissions listed below to the right colleagues, based on their responsibilities.
