Introduction
The Business Accounts List Report gives you a clear snapshot of outstanding client receivables or supplier payables at a selected point in time.
This report is especially useful for finance teams who need a quick and reliable view of account balances for day-to-day follow-up, period-end checks, and decision-making. You can generate the Business Accounts List Report in two formats:
Summary report, which shows a concise list of balances for quick review.
Detailed report, which includes additional account and contact information for a more complete view.
The steps below explain how to run the report in Indigo Business and describe the available options.
Running the Report
To run the report:
Go to Sales or Purchases > Reporting > Clients List Report or Suppliers List Report
Set up the Report Options as needed in the Business Accounts List Report page:
As at Date: enter the date up to which the business accounts balances are calculated. By default, this is today’s date and cannot be set to after the end of the current financial year.
Business Account Type: by default, this is Client when the report is opened from Sales and Supplier when it is opened from Purchases. Select All to include both clients and suppliers in the same report.
Exclude Zero Balance Accounts: it excludes business accounts with no receivables or payables balances.
Detailed Report: tick it to run a detailed report, untick it to run a summary report.
Include Remarks: includes any remarks entered when the client or supplier was created (Accounts details tab). These appear beneath the business account name in the Name column.
Filter and select the data you want to report on in the left grid, as needed.
Choose the report format and generate the report at the bottom right of the page.
⚠️ Important: User permissions and active system record filters influence the data displayed in the report selection grid and the resulting report. Excluded records may cause incomplete figures or unexpected totals.
