Overview

In this article, we’ll show you how to modify a single shift in your Scheduler without affecting the rest of the schedule. This allows you to set a different hourly rate and cost centre for that day, ensuring more accurate cost calculations and fair pay. You can also change the occupation if the employee will be covering a different role, and update the shift location if they’ll be working at another of your facilities.

Customise Values for a Specific Shift

  1. In Indigo go to Attendance > Main > Scheduler.

  2. Select the shift you want to adjust, and click the three-dot button.

  3. Click on Open in the pop-up menu.

  4. Go to the Custom schedule values tab

  5. Make your desired changes for one or more of the following fields:

    • Hourly rate

    • Occupation

    • Cost centre

    • Shift location

  6. Add or modify a comment in the Remarks field, if needed.

  7. Select Update

If the Schedule Publishing feature is enabled you'll have different buttons at the bottom right of the window:

  • Save & Publish: the changes are saved and shift published

  • Save as Draft: the changes are saved but not published

  • Notify Affected Employees: when ticked, the employee is notified about the changed in the shift.
