Introduction
The Leave Write-Off utility in Indigo is used to remove leftover leave balance from individual employees, instead of paying it off to them.
This could be useful to process remaining leave balance at the end of the year, or when an employee got terminated but still has leave left. Depending on your company policies, you can make use of this handy utility to proceed accordingly.

You can find the Leave Write-Off utility navigating to the Payroll & Leave module, and scrolling to the Leave section.

Write off Leave Individually
To create a new leave write-off, click on β Insert in the functions bar.
Type the employee code in the Employee field, or click on the magnifying glass π to refine your search. The Name column will get automatically populated with the employee's full name.
Select the needed Leave type. The Leave description will get automatically populated too.
Choose the Date when the leave write-off will be effective.
Insert the No of hours to write off for the selected leave type.
Enter any relevant Remarks, which will be visible in the Leave History Report.

If you realise you've accidentally written off leave from the wrong employeeβor the wrong amount of hours was inserted, you can ποΈ delete the leave write-off record from the grid.

Once done, the hours will be reassigned to the employee's leave balance, as if nothing ever happened π.
