Overview
Indigo lets you set reminder emails to notify employees and approvers when allocation requests are still waiting for approval. This helps reduce outstanding requests by reminding the appropriate people to take action.
🤔 Configuration: weekly reminder emails are sent automatically on the day you set.
📋 Before you begin:
Attendance should be configured with allocation approval workflows already in use.
The organisation chart needs to be configured correctly so managers are assigned to their employees.
Configure Reminder Emails
Go to Attendance > Settings > Attendance > Allocations.
Scroll down to the Reminders section.
Enable the required reminder options by clicking ✏️ Edit at the top and selecting any of:
Pick the preferred day for either option from the dropdown menu.
Save your changes by clicking the Save button at the top of the screen.
Result
Thanks to the configuration above:
Employees will receive an email when they have allocation requests waiting for approval.
Approvers will receive an email listing all allocation requests awaiting their approval.
Either type of reminder emails will be sent automatically on the chosen day.
💡 Pro tips:
Approval routing follows the organisation chart up to one level (immediate approver-employee relationships).
This setting is valid for every allocation type that has the setting Requires approval enabled.
This includes types like overtime.
