Overview

You can configure Indigo to automatically decline allocation requests that remain pending after a specified number of days. This helps organisations enforce approval policies and prevents allocation requests from remaining open indefinitely.

⚙️ Good to know: This setting will decline allocations, not delete them.

Configure Automatic Decline

  1. Go to Attendance > Settings > Attendance > Allocations.

  2. Click the ✏️ Edit button at the top.

  3. Under Automation, enable Automatically decline pending allocations after.

  4. Enter the number of days a request can remain pending before it is declined.

  5. Save your changes using the ✔️ check mark button at the top.

Result

Once this setting is configured as instructed above, Indigo will automatically run a scheduled command each day. This will check for allocation requests that have exceeded the configured number of pending days, and if a request exceeds the set limit, the system automatically declines it.

As a result, outstanding allocation requests will be prevented from building up in your backlog.
