Overview

When an Indigo user downloads the Indigo Mobile app onto their mobile phone or tablet, the device is automatically registered in the Clocking Devices grid.

Administrators can check the Clocking Devices grid when they need to view or configure an employee's registered mobile device.

Editing a device registered with Indigo Mobile

  1. Go to Attendance > Setup > Clocking Devices.

  2. Find the device entry you require and click on the Edit (pen) icon on the far right of the entry.

  3. The Edit clocking device modal will open. Here you can assign a Project, give the device a Friendly Name to make it easier to identify, or control access via the Locked checkbox.

  4. When you have made the necessary amendments, click Save.

The Clocking Devices grid will refresh to show the entry's updated information.

Locking or unlocking a registered mobile device

You can stop a user from clocking in and out using Indigo Mobile by locking their registered mobile device.

  1. Go to Attendance > Setup > Clocking Devices.

  2. In the Clocking Devices grid, find the entry for the device to be locked and click the Edit icon on the far right of the entry.

  3. Tick the Locked checkbox and click Save.

The Clocking Devices grid will refresh to show the updated entry. You will see a tick under the 'Locked' column. That mobile device will no longer allow its user to clock in or out from it.

To unlock a device, follow steps 1 and 2 above, then deselect the Locked checkbox and click Save.

Remove bindings from a device

When a device is registered as being used for Indigo Mobile, it is automatically assigned bindings, which are ID tags unique to that device.

Removing the binding of a device in the Clocking Devices grid will disable the device, preventing the device's owner from using Indigo Mobile.

  1. Go to Attendance > Setup > Clocking Devices.

  2. Find the entry for the device to be disabled.

  3. Click on the Bindings (chain link) icon on the far right of the entry.

  4. In the pop-up window, select the binding ID and then click Remove.
