Overview

The Reviews section, accessible through the Performance Management menu on the left side, provides a comprehensive overview of all reviews associated with you in any capacity.

Whether you're a reviewing manager, a reviewed employee, or even your company's HR admin, this section offers a centralised platform to view and manage all relevant reviews effortlessly.

Note: The Performance Management product is set up and managed by your company's Indigo Admin. This user is then responsible to assign different users the desired permissions, each relating to the different features and functionalities of Performance Management.

To differentiate between regular users and managers, remember this rule of thumb: if a user has employees reporting to them in the Organisation Chart, then that user is a manager in the eyes of the Indigo system.

What is the Reviews Section for?

In the article Assigning, tracking and answering Performance Reviews, you can learn more on the functionality of the Personal, My Team and Employees sections.

In comparison with those sections, the Reviews section offers you a complete overview over appraisals linked to you.

For regular users, this ensures you stay on top of things. By monitoring this section closely, you can stay informed about your manager's set appraisal deadlines and any further actions they take after you've submitted your appraisals. This way, you won't miss a beat and can stay fully engaged in the appraisal process.

For managers and company HR admins, the Reviews section provides a seamless platform for managing already created reviews. This includes diverse functionality options like nudging unready respondents, cancelling or finalising ongoing reviews and reopening closed ones.

Continue reading below for the details on these features. ⬇️

Structure

Reviews Grid

The reviews grid is the cornerstone of the Reviews section.

From here, you can view (as an employee) and manage (as a manager) all reviews in which you are either participating or have general access to (as an HR admin). A convenient shortcut to each actual review can be found in the far-right column of the grid. Note: Depending on your display, you may have to drag the horizontal bar of the grid to the right.

If you are an HR Admin, you can switch the grid's view. Switch from All Reviews to Participating to filter out reviews you're not directly linked to.

Grid Columns:

  1. Name & Surname: Name and surname of employee being reviewed.

  2. Manager: The manager responsible for reviewing the employee

  3. Company Name: This is dependent on which company the employee and manager work for.

  4. Review Name: The name the manager set to identify the review.

  5. Due Date: When reviews are due to be filled in by both parties and the appraisal process is set to commence.

  6. Published On: The date when the review is published by both parties, and the review transitions to the appraisal stage.

  7. Finalised Date: The date when the review was closed.

  8. Review Status: The current state of the review can be one of four statuses: Pending, Appraisal, Closed, or Cancelled.

  9. Respondent Status: Displays the current status of both the employee and manager, which can be Pending, In Progress, or Published.

  10. Functions: The functions available here include a feature that navigates you to the review.

Review Overview Modal - Managing reviews and nudging respondents

Clicking on the Name and Surname of either the reviewer or reviewee, the Review Name, or the Respondent Status will open the Review Overview Modal for that appraisal.

Another method to open the modal is by clicking on any field within a specific review. Upon doing so, the Review Overview button by the search bar will activate, allowing you to click it and access the modal.

Within the modal, as an employee, you can access the review, as well as extra details about the appraisal. This feature proves especially valuable when notes have been added by your manager, such as those from a post-review meeting.

As a manager or HR admin, this is where you can execute a range of actions:

  • Cancelling, reopening or finalising reviews;

  • Nudging respondents;

  • Adding meeting notes;

  • Accessing all details of that specific review: [Audit Log - COMING SOON!]

Reviews Visualisations

The reviews statistics section provides quick visualizations of your reviews. On the left side of the statistics header, a pie chart illustrates how reviews are distributed by their status. Meanwhile, the right side indicates the number of reviews currently displayed on screen compared to your total access, based on your view setting.

Additionally, you have the ability to filter data directly from the grid below.

  1. Begin by clicking the Filter Reviews button, next to the search bar.

  2. This will activate and make filter options appear beneath each column in the grid. For example, under Review Status you can click the drop down menu and pick one from (All), Pending, Appraisal Stage, Closed and Cancelled.

  3. Such an action automatically refreshes the review visualisations shown on the header of the screen.
