Overview

Besides simplifying the job application process, Indigo Hiring also gives applicants the opportunity to monitor all of their pending job applications.

The platform includes an instant messaging system to facilitate communication between employers and prospective employees. Therefore, it is essential to regularly check for updates from the recruitment teams of the jobs for which you have applied.

Keeping Track of Pending Job Applications

You can view the status of all of your open applications from the Your job applications screen. This is accessed by clicking Your Applications in the header while on the Indigo Hiring webpage of any company.

Please keep in mind that clicking on Your Applications will display every single one of your pending applications, with every company, no matter which company's Indigo Hiring webpage you are on.

In contrast, to apply for a job with a specific company, you need to go to that company's dedicated job page on Indigo Hiring.

The grid in Your job applications will list each of your applications and show basic information like:

  • Job Title: the role you have applied for; clicking this will take you back to the job page relevant to that application.

  • Company: the hiring company that posted the job; clicking this will take you to the company's careers page. Although the URL and company logo in the top left may change, you will stay logged in to Hiring.

  • Status: the stage of the company's hiring process your application is currently in; keep an eye on this periodically for any changes, as these will show your application's progress through the various stages of the company's recruitment process.

  • Application Date: the date you submitted the application.

Depending on the recruiting company's Hiring Preferences, you might also receive automated emails when your application moves to a new stage in the hiring pipeline.

Note: remember to check your Junk folder for such emails, particularly if it's the first time you're using Indigo Hiring with this email address.

Withdrawing a Job Application

Should you decide to stop pursuing an open position for which you have applied, you can withdraw your application easily within Indigo Hiring.

  1. Go to Your Applications.

  2. Find the application you wish to cancel in the Your job applications grid.

  3. Cancel your application on Indigo Hiring by clicking the Withdraw button, located at the right end of the relevant grid row.

  4. In the new window, select your Reason of withdrawal [Required] from the dropdown menu by clicking the field.

  5. Finally, click Yes, withdraw.

Upon withdrawing from a job application, the hiring team will be instantly notified, and you will notice the Withdraw button in the grid for that application has become greyed out and unclickable. Refreshing the page after a few seconds will result in the withdrawn application no longer being displayed in the Your job applications grid.

Chatting with the Recruitment Team

Indigo Hiring's instant messaging system streamlines communication with potential employers by simplifying processes like the scheduling of meetings, requests for additional information, and more. It enables you to build a relationship and communicate effortlessly with the company even before you start your career there.

Chats with applicants are initiated by the company's hiring team when they feel the need to contact you.

You can keep track of open chats and unread messages by periodically checking the Chats button, between the notifications and profile icons in the top right of the header. It will display the number of unread messages awaiting your attention within a small blue circle.

You will also receive emails when new messages come in.

Reminder: you may need to check your Junk folder, especially if it's the first time you're using Indigo Hiring with this email address.

The Chats Screen

You can access your Hiring inbox by either clicking Chats in the top right corner of the screen, or View Chat in an associated email.

Should you have several applications with the same company, the company or hiring team may initiate multiple chats with you, each corresponding to a different job role.

Every open chat will be individually listed in the menu on the left-hand side, where you can open the desired one by clicking on it. A search bar is also available to help you find a desired chat.

Just like in the Chats icon in the header, the numbers inside blue circles represent unread messages.

To respond, click on the text box highlighted below the messages in the main chat window and type your message. Once you are ready, click the blue arrow or press Enter on your keyboard to send your reply.

Please note that your chats inbox, similar to the Your job applications screen, will show messages from all the companies you're applying to and with whom you have active conversations. Which URL and company logo are displayed on the webpage when you open your inbox have no impact on which messages are displayed.
