Overview
Anyone attempting to trek through a tricky mountain pass without proper planning and a clear sense of direction is bound to encounter a few dead ends. ⛰️ Now swap the rugged landscape for the fast-paced energy of an open-plan office and your muddy boots 👢 for sleek loafers, and the scenario remains the same: reaching goals demands a well-defined strategy.
Whether you're leading a team or going solo, progress depends on having a clear objective, built on results you're aiming to achieve that are key to tracking your progress and a sign of how close you are to summiting the peak.
Indigo's Performance Management product has exactly what you need in this area with its Objectives feature. Perfect for setting precise targets after a performance review cycle, or anytime you need to guide your employees toward specific goals, Objectives helps you underscore clear, well-defined aims, removing any ambiguity.
With Objectives , we guarantee that your employees will know exactly what they’re striving for, whether it’s boosting sales or refining their code. In full support of this, the feature empowers you to set and track key results with every objective, giving you an accurate way to measure your colleagues' success at hitting the bullseye on those targets. 🏹
Objectives in Indigo's Performance Management
To begin setting up your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), click the Objectives tab on the left in Performance Management. The main screen of Objectives includes a grid that displays all current objectives along with their respective statuses, and offers options to open or archive them. Additionally, the grid includes a Refresh button, filtering options, and a search bar.
Starting from the left, the grid's columns are:
Code: a unique code that is automatically generated by Indigo to identify each objective.
Created On: the objective's date of creation.
Assigned To: the employee working on this objective.
Name: the objective's name, as set by the creator.
Percentage Completed: a percentage that calculates the progress towards an objective's completion, determined by the extent to which its key results have been completed, whether fully or partially.
Status Description: an objective can have one of four statuses: Not Started, In Progress, Closed and Archived.
Start Date: the objective's intended date of commencement.
Due Date: the objective's set deadline.
Actions:
Archive Objective: archives the objective, making it uneditable.
Open Objective: this allows you to access the objective to read more about it, initiate it, monitor or conclude any of its key results, and ultimately close the objective.
The grid also has three possible views to choose from:
Personal: for objectives assigned to you.
My Team: available to any user managing employees, as listed in the Organisation Chart.
All Objectives: this view will show users with the appropriate permissions all existing objectives across the tenant.
