Stay on top of your Leave Situation
Managing your resources efficiently is key to staying on top of things. With Indigo Mobile, checking your leave balances is as simple as checking your preferred weather app. Whether you’re planning a sunny vacation 🏖️ or a tricky trek up the Alps, ⛰️ our app will let you know how much leave you have available with just a few taps.
The Balance Tab in Indigo Mobile
To check your leave balance using your phone:
Log in to the Indigo Mobile app.
Select Leave from the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Balance, located in the app's header.
This will bring you to an overview screen which shows you the same leave balances that you normally have access to in the Employee Portal, available in the shape of cards. They look like this:
Each card represents a specific leave group you have leave entitlement in, with your total remaining balance displayed in both hours and days.
📋 Note: Hourly employees will see their balance correctly in hours, but as 0.0 in days, since their leave entitlement is based only on hours.
From this screen, you can:
Tap on any card to view more information about your leave in that leave group.
Tap on the Leave Authorisers section at the bottom to contact them.
More details on each option are provided below.
Tapping on a Leave Group's Card
When you tap on a card, you’ll be taken to a screen that details your current situation or status within that leave group.
This screen shows what different leave types you currently have contributing to the overall group total, which is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
For example, in the image above, employee Lita Ford has:
8.5 hours left in Vacation Leave 2022
194 hours left in Vacation Leave 2024
Both of these are part of the Vacation Leave group, bringing that group's total up to 202.5 hours (and 0.0 days because Lita is an hourly employee). (Note: In this fictional example, Lita’s employer allows leave to be carried forward from year to year without expiring, which is why she still has hours left from 2022.)
🧠 Pro-tip: You can change the display between Hours and Days from the top right (hourly employees will see days as '0.0' here as well). Additionally, there's a toggle on the bottom right to display or hide zero leave balances.
Tapping on Leave Authorisers
From the main screen of the Balance Tab, you can click on any of your leave authorisers at the bottom to open a screen displaying their full name, role and email:
You can easily message any of your authorisers by clicking on their email link. Doing so will prompt your phone to display a Share window, which lists various apps you have installed that can be used to reach out to them, such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Gmail.
