Stay on top of your Leave Situation

Managing your resources efficiently is key to staying on top of things. With Indigo Mobile, checking your leave balances is as simple as checking your preferred weather app. Whether you’re planning a sunny vacation 🏖️ or a tricky trek up the Alps, ⛰️ our app ensures you always know how much leave you have available.

The Balance Tab in Indigo Mobile

To check your leave balance using your phone:

  1. Log in to the Indigo Mobile app.

  2. Select Leave from the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Tap Balance, located in the app's header.

This will bring you to a screen that looks something like this:

In this screen, you can access the same leave balances organised in the same leave groups as in the Employee Portal. At the bottom, you will also see a list of all of your leave authorisers.

Leave Groups

Each group card shows the total amount of leave entitlement you have left in that group, displayed in both hours and days. This total includes all types of leave within that group. For example, in the image below Lita has 8.5 hours left in 'Vacation Leave 2022' and 194 hours in 'Vacation Leave 2024', which are both of the Vacation leave group. Her 'Total Balance' in the Vacation card shows 202.5 Hours (0.0 Days). (Note: Lita's fictional employer allows leave to be carried forward from year to year without expiring, which is why she still has hours left from 2022.)

You can tap any of the group cards to access a screen with more information:

This display shows the entitlement contributions from various leave types to the overall group total. Similar to the Employee Portal, you can tap on Hours or Days on the top right to switch view. Additionally, there's a toggle on the bottom right to display or hide zero leave balances. The 'Total Balance' is shown at the very end of the screen.

📋 Note: Hourly employees, like the one in the two images above, will see their remaining leave entitlement accurately displayed in hours, but a 0.0 whenever the display is switched to days, since their leave entitlement is based only on hours.

Leave Authorisers

From the main screen of the Balance Tab, you can click on any of your leave authorisers at the bottom to open a screen displaying their full name, role and email.

You can easily message any of your authorisers by clicking on their email link. Doing so will prompt your phone to display a Share window, which lists various apps you have installed that can be used to reach out to them, such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Gmail.
