Hello Indigo users,

Put your shades on 😎 because it's time for three Feature Spotlights!

The Objectives feature has landed in Performance Management, helping you clearly communicate your company's desired aims to your employees. With the support of key results, you'll also remove any guesswork when it comes to accurately measuring their success in scoring those goals. 🥅

The Indigo Mobile app now includes Leave Balances and Team Availability in its feature lineup. With two new tabs, users with access to the Employee Portal can easily view their remaining leave, contact leave authorisers, and see which colleagues are available, working remotely, or taking some well-deserved R&R. 🏄

Our third spotlight🔦 focuses on saving you even more time by allowing you to save grid export templates from the Employees screen and related tabs, making it easy to load them for future exports. Meanwhile, we've also revamped the Export Employees modal.

If I were you, I'd definitely want to check out the full details below. 🔽

🌟 Feature Spotlights 🌟

Performance Management: Objectives 🎯

Nock your arrows! Draw... and loose 🏹 at clearly defined goals with Performance Management's latest feature, Objectives. This new addition is perfect for setting precise targets right after a performance cycle or simply whenever you need to guide your employees toward specific aims.

By setting clear and well-defined objectives, there’s no ambiguity—your team will know exactly what they’re striving for, whether it's boosting sales or refining their code. Plus, the feature supports the setup and tracking of key results, allowing you to accurately measure their success in hitting the bullseye on those targets.

Mobile App: Leave Balances and Team Availability 🏖️

Wave goodbye 👋 to the long-winded processes of checking your leave balance or figuring out if a colleague is free for a chat or a new assignment. With the introduction of Leave Balances and Who’s On Leave in Indigo Mobile, you can now access this information in just a few taps, whether you're lounging on the sofa 🛋️ or out and about.

These two handy features come as new tabs in the app's Leave section:

  • The Balance tab provides all the details you need to plan your leave efficiently, helping you stay on top of your schedule. Your remaining leave hours are clearly categorised by leave groups, so you'll always know exactly how much of each type of leave you have left—no more guesswork!

  • Meanwhile, head over to the On Leave tab to see which of your colleagues are out of the office—whether they’re working remotely, from home, or enjoying some well-deserved ice cream 🍦 by the sea—and plan accordingly.

As part of the Leave module within the Mobile App, these two new features are available to any user with access to the Employee Portal. Here's some handy documentation on these and related topics.

Save Custom Export Templates 💾

Time 🕰️ is more precious than cash, 💰 so we’re giving you the ability to save and load templates for exporting grid data in the Employees screen and related tabs. These improvements are part of the newly redesigned Export Employees modal, accessible via the Export File button on the toolbar.

Here are the highlights of the feature's many enhancements.

  • We have expanded the view and reorganised the position of several settings,

  • The new My Selections Section has been added, where you’ll find all your saved templates and can also delete them.

  • The new Selected Columns section clearly lists the columns you have ticked in the Column selector.

Attendance Enhancements

  • The Overtime Requests report has been updated to include three new columns that provide information related to departments, specifically the Department, Section, and Unit.

Hiring Enhancements

  • Introducing Analytics, a new tab available in the Job page providing insights into the job post's performance! Choose a reporting period and download reports to get a good look at the performance stats.

  • The Careers Page builder has a bundle of new things:

    • A blank template that you can customise yourself, available in the Careers Page Settings.

    • Not one, not two, but THREE new blocks!

      • A second version of the Hero block.

      • A Jobs Cards block in three different styles.

      • A Socials block with three configurations.

Hiring Fixes and Improvements

  • When viewing an individual job, you will notice the 'Job Promotions' tab has been renamed to 'Get more applicants'.

  • User registration has been simplified 😮‍💨 with fewer fields to fill in while signing up, as we've shifted some from the registration form to the jobseeker's first application form, making the registration process easier all round.

HR Enhancements

Skills & Training

  • You can now assign Credits and Company Cost in Є to new Certifications directly from Setup. These values will be set as the default whenever the certification is assigned to an employee. If needed, you can adjust them later from My Team or All Employees on a case-by-case basis. If not specified, the default value will be 0, as it is for existing certifications created before this update.

  • In certifiable harmony 🎶 with this enhancement, Credits and Cost have been added as selectable columns in the module's grid, available through the cog (⚙️) menu.

Performance Management Enhancements

  • Export crucial data from your generated 9 Box Grids to Excel using the new Export button located in the Review Scores window!

Performance Management Fixes and Improvements

  • We've had a serious discussion with the Personal screen and tweaked some features and buttons to align with our UX principles. Ultimately, the screen feels happy with the adjustments, understanding that the fixes weren't personal! 😉

  • Questions will keep the paragraph structure set in the template builder when previewed or displayed on the review screen.

  • Star Rating questions are displaying the correct amount of stars.
