Introduction
Managers have the possibility to consult a table showing the total balances or balances divided by Leave Type for the people reporting to them. They can achieve this using the 'Staff reporting to me leave balances' widget on the Employee Portal, when proper rights are granted.
Adding the Widget to the Employee Portal
If the widget is not available, the Administrator needs to add it to the Employee Portal dashboard view. To do so, they have to click on Add New icon β on the top right side of the screen.
βποΈ Note
This setting needs to be activated by the Shireburn Support staff upon request. Once turned on, the β button will show allowing to globally add a widget from the dashboard.In the opening modal, type or scroll down to locate the 'Staff reporting to me leave balances' widget. Tick the checkbox next to the widget miniature, and click OK.
βOn the Employee Portal dashboard, scroll to the widget and select the Leave Groups you want to display by ticking the corresponding checkboxes. Then, click on Save.
βπ€ Remember
Whatever you select at this stage will be applied globally. This means
that all the people who have the permissions to see this widget will see the columns you selected in the widget settings.The widget is now available in the Employee Portal. The data can be expressed in either Hours or Days. Use the radio buttons on the bottom right of the widget to choose your preferred view.
