Use this guide to help you build and edit your Indigo Hiring Careers Page

The Careers Page Builder

Each section of the Careers Page is editable and referred to as a block. You can add, change or delete blocks as needed, except for the Hero block which cannot be deleted.

To access the Builder, click on Careers Page in the header. When it loads, click on the Switch to edit mode button in the bottom right of the screen.

The Switch to edit mode button remains visible in the same place even if you scroll down.

Adding a Block

You can add a new block when viewing existing ones, using the + Add New Block button to the right of the block's title in the editing box.

Clicking the + Add New Block button opens the 'Blocks' modal that shows all available block types.

Choose the block type you'd like to use by clicking on the image. The modal will close and the new block will be added automatically at the end of the page.

Deleting a Block

To delete a block, click the trashcan button in the Block Position part of the block's editing box.

A confirmation message will come up. Go ahead and click Yes, delete to continue.

⚠️ Editing an existing block's style may remove any images already uploaded to that section. If you think you'll need these images again, make sure to back them up in a different location before modifying the block's style. ⚠️

Moving a Block

To change a block's position, click on the block to enter its editing box, then under 'Block Position' click the arrow button to shift it one block (⬆️ to move up, ⬇️ to move down). Keep clicking as many times as you need to get the block in the right place on the page.


About the different Block Types

Blocks are preset sections that can be added to a webpage to show content. There are several types, and each of them can be tailored to suit your needs. You can also change their position on the page and insert as few or as many as you want - so have fun experimenting to find the best combination that will make your Careers Page stand out from the crowd!

Read on to learn about the available settings for each block type.

Hero

The Hero 🦸🏻 block takes up the best space on the page, ready to champion 🏆 your company's message and show off your active job posts to the full. It is the only section that cannot be moved up or down, or be deleted.

  • Style: choose between showing your job posts in a Grid, or arranged as a List.

  • Position: N/A.

  • Content Settings: add images to your Hero block here. You can also change or delete existing pictures.

    • Image size: up to 2MB.

    • Image formats: png, jpeg, webp.

    • Recommended aspect ratio: 16:5 for desktop, 4:5 for mobile.

Image + Text

With Image + Text blocks, you can place an eye-catching picture 📷 while having text beside or below it.

  • Style:

    • Text Right: the image is placed on the left while text is on the right.

    • Text Left: the text is on the left while the image is on the right.

    • Centred: the image is centred, with any text is below it and placed in the middle.

  • Positioning: move up or down, delete.

  • Content Settings:

    • Image size: up to 2MB.

    • Image formats: png, jpeg, webp.

    • Recommended aspect ratio: 1:1 (Text Right, Text Left), 2:1 (Centred).

Video

The Video block lets you link a video hosted on a third party site, so that visitors can watch it directly on your Careers Page. 🙌🏻

  • Style:

    • Big Video: set your video in a large format. (If Block Description is on, this will show above the video.)

    • Video + Text: have a smaller video format accompanied by text directly below it.

  • Positioning: move up or down, delete.

  • Content Settings: enter the video link (currently YouTube or Vimeo videos are supported).

  • Block Description: On/Off; add some text to introduce your video.

Banner

Another type of visual display, use a Banner block to include a large image without any extra text above, below or around it. When a picture is worth a thousand words, this is the block to use!

  • Style: N/A.

  • Positioning: move up or down, delete.

  • Content Settings:

    • Image size: up to 2MB.

    • Image formats: png, jpeg, webp.

    • Recommended aspect ratio: 16:5 (desktop), 4:5 (mobile).

Features

Use the Features block to list things about your company worth highlighting. If you want to shout about it, this is the place to put it.

  • Style: choose between showing your job posts in a Grid, or arranged as a List.

  • Positioning: move up or down, delete.

  • Content Settings:

    • Amount: min. 2, max. 8; choose how many items to include.

    • Block Description: On/Off; add some text to the top of your Features block.

    • Description Text: On/Off; write a short explainer for each featured item.

Gallery

Create your own photo gallery on your Careers Page to brighten it up.

  • Style:

    • Big image: your gallery will consist of one large image - make sure to pick something with a big WOW factor!

    • Carousel: set a selection of images on sliding rotation.

    • Grid: your chosen pictures will be shown in a neat grid of 6.

  • Positioning: move up or down, delete.

  • Content Settings: add, update or delete images in your Gallery.

    • Image size: up to 2MB.

    • Image formats: png, jpeg, webp.

    • Recommended aspect ratio: 16:9 (Big image), 1:1 (Carousel), 2:1 (Grid).

    • Max. images: 6.

  • Block Description: On/Off; include text to contextualise your gallery.

Benefits

List your company's benefits package in the Benefits block to give potential applicants an idea about your work environment and company culture.

  • Style: One Column, Two Columns.

  • Positioning: move up or down, delete.

  • Content Settings:

    • Amount: min. 2, max. 10; choose the number of benefits to list.

    • Block Description: On/Off; this is a great place to write about the goals your company aims for with the benefits provided to employees.
