Introduction
You sourced applicants through Indigo Hiring, interviewed them, and found the right candidate for the role. The candidate has accepted your offer and is ready to join the company.
The next step is for HR to create an employee profile for the new hire. Traditionally, this would mean moving between the Hiring and Employees modules and re-entering information collected during the recruitment process.
But what if you could transfer that information from Hiring and use it to create an employee profile without having to enter it all over again? That is exactly what the Applicants module lets you do.

Transfer Candidates to Applicants
When you're ready to start the onboarding process:
Go to Indigo Hiring > All Applications.
Open the applicant's profile.
From the candidate details section, select Add to Indigo Payroll.
The applicant's full name, email, current location, country of residence, job applied for, gender, and date of birth are transferred to the Applicants module.
The above details, along with a few others we'll see shortly, are used to create an employee in Indigo. The applicant record is now ready to be converted into an employee profile.
Creating Employees from Applicants
In Indigo People, go to HR > Applicants.
In the Applicants grid, select the Import Applicant button at the far right of the applicant's row.
The Applicant Details drawer will open on the right.
Fill in the following fields (as you normally do when creating an employee):
When you're ready, select either:
Import: to create a new employee profile that you can complete later. Or;
Import and View Employee: to create a new employee profile and open it immediately in the Employees module, where you can complete it right away.
Result
The employee profile is created in HR > Employees. The following fields are automatically populated using the information provided by the applicant and the details entered in the Applicant Details drawer:
Code
Surname
Name
Sex
Date of Birth
Occupation
Default Cost Centre
Personal Email
The Current Location and Country of Residence provided by the applicant are recorded in the employee profile's Remarks section.
