How to create a test company in Indigo

Given that the Indigo Suite handles sensitive employee data, including personal details and financial matters, you might prefer to use a test company with simulated data to test API integration.

After creating a test company in Indigo, you can then populate that company with employee data, support files, banks, pay items, and all other necessary data.

Please note that the client possessing Indigo needs to have Admin permission rights to create companies. The client needs to also have the appropriate Indigo license.

To create a test company in Indigo:

  1. In the left sidebar of Indigo, click on Administration.

  2. In the Main section, click Companies.

  3. Click on Insert (plus sign icon) in the functions bar.

  4. Enter a code and the name of the test company, and check the Is Active box. (The company code must not exceed five digits.)

  5. Click Save (check mark icon).
