β
Assigning Shifts in the Scheduler
Go to Attendance > Main > Scheduler.
Click on an empty cell and type the name of a shift preset. Or;
Click on the three-dot menu, Insert, and select a shift from the dropdown.
Use the arrow keys (β, β, β, and β) on your keyboard to navigate the Scheduler. You can then type in the shift's name and press Enter to confirm its placement.
Click on the shift to confirm its selection.
Regular days off such as weekends may be left without a shift preset.
β
When you have finished building your schedule for the week, you can print the schedule or export it to a PDF or Excel file.
Note: you are adding shifts for one particular day or week only. Weekly schedules that you build will not repeat in the following weeks.
To allocate shifts which repeat indefinitely throughout the year, create a shift pattern.
You can also assign the same shift to multiple cells at once. Select multiple cells, such as across several days and/or several employees, and insert a shift via the three-dot menu from any one of the selected cells.
π§ Tip: Usually, employees are not notified when they are assigned a shift or their shift is modified. If you would like them to be notified, you can use the Scheduler Publishing feature. This allows you to draft your rosters in advance and publish them only when you are ready to share them with your employees, who will be informed via email.
β
The assigned shifts are visible in the My Schedule screen in the Mobile app, and in the Scheduler widget in the Employee Portal.
