Clocking In and Out of Indigo Mobile

Find out how to clock in and out of a shift using Indigo Mobile, along with how to access your clocking data in the app.

Clocking In

  1. Go to My Schedule, or tap on the day's shift to view the Schedule and Clocking tabs.

  2. Tap the Clock In button on the bottom right of the screen. (This is visible on all screens mentioned in step 1. Note: If this is your first time pressing this button on this device since you last installed the app, you will be prompted to grant Indigo permission to access your location. Tap Allow Access to continue.

  3. A summary will appear with details about your last clocking and a sliding button at the bottom of the screen. Hold and slide the button to clock in.

  4. The button will change to show the words 'Clocked in' and a tick on the right to let you know your clocking was success.

After clocking in, the Clock In button will change to the Clock Out button in all screens where it is visible.

You can clock in while your phone is offline. Your clocking data will sync with Indigo Attendance when you next have WiFi or a mobile data connection.


Clocking Out

  1. Go to My Schedule, or tap on the day's shift to view the Schedule and Clocking tabs.

  2. Tap the Clock Out button on the bottom right of the screen. (This is visible on all screens mentioned in step 1.)

  3. A summary of the date, time and the duration of the clocking will appear, with a sliding button at the bottom of the screen. Hold and slide the button to clock out.

  4. The button will change to show the words 'Clocked out' and a tick on the right to let you know the action was successful.

Once you have clocked out, the clocking button will change to the Clock In version in all screens where it is visible.

You can clock out while your phone is offline. Your clocking data will sync with Indigo Attendance when you next have WiFi or a mobile data connection.


Viewing Clocking Records

Your clocking data is saved and visible in the app's Clocking tab. Clock-in records are shown with a green icon, while clock-out records have a yellow one.

  1. Go to My Schedule.

  2. Tap on the shift you want to view to go to the Schedule tab, then tap the Clocking tab.

The Clocking tab will show your Schedule for the month, with the selected day picked out in blue and a list of clockings in chronological order from first to last. Each entry will have a coloured icon (green for Clock In, yellow for Clock Out), the words 'Clock In' or 'Clock Out', and the time the clocking was made. Clockings made while your phone was offline will have a red outline and a red alarm clock icon in the top right of the entry.

Closing the Indigo Mobile app will not affect your attendance records. This means that you can log in, clock in or out, then close the app without worrying about affecting your clocking details and records.

Clocking records cannot be deleted from Indigo Mobile. If you have clocked in or out accidentally or incorrectly, contact your administrator to let them know.
